Carpenter Nails Hand To Roof In Northeast Colorado Springs, Gets Fire Crew Rescue

A carpenter nailed his hand to a roof Tuesday morning in northeast Colorado Springs, said Fire Capt. Brian Vaughan. Firefighters rescued him from atop a home near Coepoke Road and Stonefly Drive, where he had been installing a fascia or soffit board, Vaughan said. The man shot a 2½-inch nail through his finger and was "anchored to the structure" on the first-floor overhanging roof, firefighters said on Facebook. "He was really tacked in there," Vaughan said. Firefighters removed the nail from the roof, helped the man down and sent him to a hospital.
