The number of games having early access as an option has been increasing in recent years, providing gamers the chance to get involved ahead of the ‘official’ release date. Call of Duty titles jumped on this trend also, providing Campaign early access specifically, completely separate to that of any Betas. Now, it appears that the newest iteration of the franchise – Black Ops 6 – will be skipping early access completely in favor of a unified launch. This news comes off the back of a post from CharlieIntel which states that after conferring with its Activision rep, Campaign early access will not be a feature of the upcoming launch. The official wording from this Activision representative is that “the team is fully focused on October 25th”, ensuring “the community gets to dig in to any and all modes that they want at the same time”. This is then doubled down on, explicitly confirming no form of early access content, despite whether you pre-order or not – “there is no Early Access [to] beat this year for Black Ops 6, just the countdown to launch”.
