By News staffDENISE LAVOIE AP Legal Affairs Writer BOSTON (AP) -- Gangster James "Whitey" Bulger has heard from the families of some of the people he was convicted of killing. Now, he will finally hear his punishment. Bulger, 84, faces a sentence of life in prison after being convicted in a string of murders in the 1970s and '80s, as well as extortion, money-laundering and weapons charges. Federal prosecutors have asked a judge to sentence him to two consecutive life terms, plus five years.
