Some quotations from Jimmy Carter:
We have a tendency to exalt ourselves and to dwell on the weaknesses and mistakes of others. I have come to realize that in every person there is something fine and pure and noble, along with a desire for self-fulfillment. Political and religious leaders must attempt to provide a society within which these human attributes can be nurtured and enhanced.
Jimmy Carter, the former president who died Sunday at age 100, was best known for his post-presidential humanitarian efforts at home and around the world, and his work advancing democracy and peace.
He also made a big difference to Florida — and Florida made a big difference to him.
Carter burst into the national conversation almost five decades ago, with a strong showing in the 1976 Iowa presidential caucuses, providing him with crucial attention and a burst of momentum.
But he might not have made it much farther, to the Democratic presidential nomination and to the White House, without Florida.
Winning the state’s presidential preference primary on March 9, 1976, helped propel him to the nomination.

Former President Jimmy Carter, a man who redefined what a post-presidency could be, died Sunday. He was 100.
Carter, who lived longer than any other U. S. president, entered home hospice care in Plains, Georgia in February 2023 after a series of short hospital stays.
The only Georgian ever elected to the White House, Carter left office after a single term that was highlighted by forging peace between Israel and Egypt, but was overshadowed by the Iran hostage crisis.

CLEVELAND — It was a heavy dose of running back De’Von Achane and quarterback Tyler “Snoop” Huntley throwing to Achane, tight end Jonnu Smith and wide receiver Tyreek Hill for the Miami Dolphins in Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
With quarterback Tua Tagovailoa already deemed doubtful Saturday, he was officially ruled out Sunday.
