After what feels like an eternity, Path of Exile 2 is almost upon us, albeit in an early access state. While it’s not the complete game in this initial phase, there is a bunch of content to take a look at and various classes to explore. Here, we’ll be taking a look at what these classes are, revealing the full set of base and Ascendancy classes in Path of Exile 2. All base classes in Path of Exile 2 Just like in the first PoE game, there are a plethora of different classes you can choose from, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. There have been a total of twelve individual base classes announced and here is the complete list: Druid Duelist Huntress Marauder Mercenary Monk Ranger Shadow Sorceress Templar Warrior Witch Sadly, only six of these will be available in early access which is a bit of a shame but it is to be expected since it is likely that not all have been tuned correctly at this point. You will still be able to pick from Mercenary, Monk, Ranger, Sorceress, Warrior, or Witch though so it’s not like there isn’t variety in playstyles and abilities in this initial batch. All Path of Exile 2 Ascendancy classes While the base Path of Exile 2 classes do offer a seriously fun time, Ascendancy classes are where things get turned up a notch. If you’re looking to head down a certain path with your character, refining and enhancing their abilities, then choosing the right Ascendancy class is key. When the full Path of Exile 2 release comes around, there will be a whopping 36 Ascendancy classes to utilize, three for each base class. But, in early access, that number shrinks considerably bringing it to twelve, two for each base class. Here is the list of all Ascendancy classes in early access and which base variant they’re linked to: Gemling Legionnaire (Mercenary) Witch Hunter (Mercenary) Acolyte of Chanula (Monk) Invoker (Monk) Deadeye (Ranger) Pathfinder (Ranger Chronomancer (Sorceress) Stormweaver (Sorceress) Titan (Warrior) Warbringer (Warrior) Blood Mage (Witch) Infernalist (Witch) Other Path of Exile 2 articles you may like Is Path of Exile 2 crossplay and cross-platform?
