PROVIDENCE, R.I. — More than 82 percent of Rhode Islanders show some level of support for legislation that would make earned sick time mandatory in Rhode Island, according to a poll commissioned by Rhode Island Working Families.The poll gauged support for bills introduced in the House and Senate that would allow all workers to earn one hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 56 hours — roughly seven sick days per year.Some 52.
