Petey is a red brindle bulldog-boxer mix that’s available for adoption from the Effingham County animal shelter. The 2-year-old dog came to the shelter as a stray. He is already neutered. “He’s very energetic,” said Shelter Director Lorna Shelton. “He needs some obedience work,” but would make a good family dog, she said. Also up for adoption this week are Pepper and Milo, two male cats that have been neutered and are an estimated 3 years old to 4 years old. “They’re great cats,” Shelton said.
