Costa Rica is located between Nicaragua and Panama, with the Caribbean on the east and the Pacific Ocean on the west. "Although still a largely agricultural country, [Costa Rica] has expanded its economy to include strong technology and tourism sectors. The standard of living is relatively high. Land ownership is widespread." Costa Rica is divided into seven Provinces: San José, Alajuela, Cartago, Heredia, Guanacaste, Puntarenas, and Limon.
