2 Vehicles Found In Augusta Canal

The Richmond County Sheriff’s office, fire department and dive team were all on the scene at the Augusta Canal near Sibley Mill Thursday afternoon where two vehicles were pulled to the bank. The canal was being drained this week for maintenance. Tommie Crabb, who’s doing electrical work at Sibley Mill, spotted both vehicles in the canal Thursday afternoon. “I’ve’ been keeping an eye on the canal since draining began and today I looked in and saw a tire sticking out,” Crabb said.
