A 15-acre fire burning at Fort Carson Tuesday morning is contained, officials say. The fire is producing a lot of smoke that can be seen from Interstate 25, but is under control, Fort Carson spokeswoman Dani Johnson said. Johnson did not say exactly where the fire is, just that it is "on the I-25 side of the base." Johnson did not know the cause. Read more on Colorado Springs Gazette
