GOOSE CREEK, S.C. — A fire at a South Carolina auto salvage yard that produced billows of smoke that could be seen 20 miles away is out after as many as 100 firefighters battled in 90-degree temperatures to extinguish it. Berkeley County Emergency Medical Services Director Dan Barb tells local media outlets the fire broke out about 1:30 Sunday afternoon.
