    Also Jeff-t, I have a system in place to bring stacks in and lay next to the stove but also lay logs in front of the glass to dry out before going in the box. It gives off a nice wood odor in the house as well as they dry The chimney is masonry. I don't believe there is a screen on the cap, I don't see one from ground level.

    Recently got an indoor air quality monitor for the house. Was making sure no smoke was getting in due to asthma and allergy in the house. Everything looks ok other than CO2. It only went up quickly when I started the stove. I have CO meters throughout the house and nothing has ever shown up. Even on peak monitoring. I don’t think CO is present.

  • Please advise! Neighbours wood smoke blowing into my home
    My family and I just moved into a new house 4 months ago located next to a wood burner. He has a wood stove that has been used all winter as well as into the spring as their primary source of heat. This would be no issue of course, but the problem is that the smoke is billowing laterally / downward from the chimney and into our home.

The up stairs will have another few mini-split heads for room heating. The second picture is from 1904 from a funeral of someone in our house. Ours is the middle house with levels.
