York County Sheriff William King Jr. has filed a lawsuit against the York County Commissioners accusing the board of illegally slashing his pay after he took office in January by more than $15,500. King is represented in the lawsuit by state Rep. Mark Dion, an attorney and former Cumberland County sheriff, who said he personally wrote the law that is now state statute prohibiting the county commissioners from doing exactly what they did. “This is black letter law.
