Just drafted by the Yankees last month, left-hander Tony Hernandez, a Hazleton Area product drafted out of Monroe College in New York in the 15th round has put together a nice start for the Gulf Coast League Yankees West. The 19-year-old has gotten four starts in the six games he’s pitched for the club. He’s posted a 2-1 record with a 2.65 ERA allowing just five earned runs in 17 innings pitched.
