Texas continues to lead the nation in the percentage of people lacking health insurance coverage, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau. Slightly more than 19 percent of Texas' population was without health insurance in 2014. That's about 365,523 people without insurance across the Lone Star State, down from 402,124 in 2013. At the metro-area level, Texas' uninsured population ranks among the largest in the nation.
