WORCESTER - The city is doubling down on its efforts to get Amazon to build a second headquarters here. City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr. told the City Council Tuesday night that the city will submit its own application in response to Amazon’s solicitation of proposals for its second headquarters, dubbed HQ2, in addition to being part of a separate state application expected to involve multiple communities.
