In the years after Stuart Haverty's unexpected death, his parents found it challenging to cope with the grief. Now, eight years later, the two plan to honor their son with an event in Woodstock to benefit charities close to the family, said his mother, Carol Haverty. "It was really hard for a really long time," she said.
