Woman Charged In Crash That Killed 'pillar Of The Community'

EAST BROOKFIELD  — A Massachusetts woman charged with driving drunk and causing a crash that killed a man described as a "pillar of the community" has pleaded not guilty.Cindy Bliss, of West Brookfield, was held on $20,000 bail Tuesday after her arraignment on charges including motor vehicle homicide while intoxicated.Police say the 54-year-old Bliss was speeding when she ran a stop sign and struck a vehicle operated by 78-year-old Alexander Cordy in West Brookfield on Monday.
