Police said a Jacksonville woman has been charged with vehicular homicide and was traveling 76 mph when she hit the Michael Goodbread Jr.’s Volvo, killing him as he drove onto Roosevelt Boulevard on his way to work. Tamara Larissa Miller, 44, was arrested Tuesday. She was charged based on the speed. “Detectives were able to determine her speed was calculated at 76 miles per hour at impact,” police spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda said. Witnesses told police they saw Miller weaving, driving at a high rate of speed and that she ran the red light at Roosevelt and Verona Avenue. read more
