Winona Demolition Begins Today

Demolition at the site of the former Winona Hospital begins today at 9 a.m. Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard will be joined by community leaders to signal the start of cleaning up the site at 3232 N. Meridian St. that has been abandoned for seven years. The 317-room hospital opened in the 1950s but shut down in 2004 after its owner went bankrupt.
