Wind, Hail, Rain And Some Snow In The Forecast For Pikes Peak Region

By ryan maye handy ryanmaye.handy@gazette.com -The Pikes Peak Region is in for a blustery, cool and wet week following a weekend of heavy snow in the high country, according to the National Weather Service. Rain showers with some chance of snow are in the forecast for Sunday night and early Monday morning, followed by a week of possible thunderstorms and rain. Meanwhile, after wind gusts subside Sunday in south central and southeastern Colorado, residents can starting girding themselves for thunderstorms, wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy hail threats Tuesday through Saturday. The current forecasts offers potential for hail storms nearly every day this week - hail could be up to 1 inch in diameter, according to the hazardous weather outlook posted by the National
