The new trailer for Avengers: Infinity War features a key piece of information courtesy of Gamora. She reveals Thanos’ main goal is “to wipe out half the universe,” also adding the how of it all: “If he gets all the Infinity Stones, he can do it with a snap of his fingers.” This master plan is pulled directly from The Infinity Gauntlet comic written by Jim Starlin and pencilled by George Pérez and Ron Lim where Thanos uses the power of the completed Infinity Gauntlet to instantly kill half of the living beings in existence.
