    During which time the person getting chemo at a VA hospital is told “tough, no more treatment, better hope it isn’t a long shutdown” or the person about to get a lifesaving surgery is told “you can always go private and pay out of pocket”. No government employee would willingly allow suffering and death just to keep a shutdown at 100%.
