After closing at its longtime Five Points location last month, Welton Street Cafe is back in business this week, at least temporarily. On Thursday, the Denver soul food institution starts serving takeout only from 2258 California St., a handful of blocks away from its former and future restaurants. “I know y’all didn’t think we would keep you hanging the whole time while we wait on our new location to be built out,” the owners wrote earlier this week in a Facebook post.
