It is almost sundown when postcard photographer Werner Bertsch climbs the low grassy berm at Ocean and Ninth. He likes the palm trees and the glow of the street lamps on those trees and the reflection of the red western sky on the Villaggio building, which matches the red fluorescence of the restaurant signs across the street.
