Internet investment Internet access is an absolute necessity. I have worked in the technology field for most of my adult life, and I can attest to the importance of preserving a free and open internet experience. Nowhere is this more true than in the college campus setting, as I learned in my time at the University of Maine, where students young and old rely on robust, secure access to the internet to gain new knowledge and skills. That’s why I’m concerned about legislation being considered in Congress that would undermine internet investment in rural states like Maine.
