Weather Advisory Extended For El Paso County, Expired In Teller County

The National Weather Service in Pueblo extended a significant weather advisory for portions of El Paso County until 6:30 p.m. Thursday.A strong thunderstorm with frequent lightning is moving east with brief, heavy rain and hail under a half-inch in diameter expected. Winds could exceed 40 mph. Southeastern Colorado Springs, Fountain, Peterson Air Force Base, Ellicott, Schriever Air Force Base, Security-Widefield and Cimarron Hills will likely be affected.The initial advisory included Teller County and was scheduled to expire at 5:45 p.m.Read more on Colorado Springs Gazette
