"Water for Elephants" (PG-13, 122 minutes). Endearingly old-fashioned about a love story involving a beautiful bareback rider (Reese Witherspoon) and a kid (Robert Pattinson) who runs off to join the circus. With strong work by Oscar winner Christophe Waltz as her husband, the autocratic circus owner. Loving attention has been paid to the early 1930s circus details.
