While it's dispiriting that the industry's exclusion of women is, as John Oliver would say, still a thing, editor Melissa Silverstein and the Women and Hollywood crew at least had a whole lot of fun ribbing the Academy for the lack of gender parity in this year's Oscar nominations. Set to the tune of Adele's single "Hello" — and applying the same swooning tint as Xavier Dolan's music video — "Hello Academy" elicits its fair share of chuckles while condemning #OscarsSoMale for "reeking of misogyny." (The best line, though, addresses the diversity controversy: "What do you call it when you heap recognition onto white folks for the black-centric movies?")
