WASHINGTON — The House of Representatives on Wednesday approved $595 billion in funding for the Defense Department next year, including provisions that give the Pentagon more flexibility to deal with sequestration. This year, some Defense Department employees have been furloughed due to mandatory spending cuts that went into effect in March.
