Walled Lake City Council has filed a lawsuit against the Walled Lake Consolidated School District in an effort to save the 95-year-old community education center from demolition. The lawsuit, filed Friday, states that the school district wants to demolish the building and sell the property to a private developer due to concerns that if the building is sold intact, it could be used as a charter school.
