That approach is about to change though with the upcoming fifth season returning to a more urban environment which we haven't really seen since the pilot. Producer Gale Anne Hurd confirms to EW that the group of characters are going to have to head back towards more metropolitan areas as efforts to find a cure take a more prominent role after being brought up in the second half of last season: "The show has spent a lot of time in primarily rural settings.
