Fifty-nine percent of voters think Donald Trump should shut down his Twitter account, according to a new national poll from Quinnipiac University. A smaller proportion, 35 percent, say the president-elect does not need to close his personal account, according to the survey, which was conducted from Nov. 17 to 20.Throughout the divisive presidential campaign, including the Republican primaries and the general election race between Trump and Hillary Clinton, Trump’s Twitter feed regularly stoked controversy, with his frequent outbursts alarming establishment Republicans as well as his opponents.
