New apartment buildings are planned for the Villages at Rice Hope in Port Wentworth, and the City Council on Tuesday approved an application to review the site plan. The apartment complex on Ga. 21 now has 154 units. The new construction will add two apartment buildings with eight units. Site owners also plan renovations to the existing apartments. Justin Adams with Waypoint, LLC, the owner of the complex, said his company was glad to make a continued investment in Port Wentworth. “We are excited about the growth here,” Adams said. Adams said the planned addition will complement the new school that opened this year.
