Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for November, the league announced on Thursday. The award is much deserving for Denver’s All-Pro defensive back. In November, Surtain did not allow a touchdown as the nearest defender in four games. He was targeted 17 times on 140 coverage snaps and forced a tight window — less than 1 yard of separation — on 41.2% of targets, the ninth-highest rate among 88 cornerbacks with at least 10 targets during that span, according to NFL’s Next Gen Stats.
