MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife is holding the second of three seminars to help get people started in deer hunting. The seminar takes place Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Castleton. All new hunters are required to take a hunter safety course. The three-hour seminars cover topics such as basic deer biology, hunting regulations, firearm selection, where to go and hunting tips. Registration is required and can be done on the department's web site. The third seminar is planned for Sept.
