BY TOM ROEDER tom.roeder@gazette.com -Jurors on Thursday found a former Fort Carson soldier guilty of stealing thousands of dollars in military equipment from the post. Torrence Hall was found guilty of stealing equipment of more than $20,000 but less than $100,000. His trial began Monday in a 4th Judicial District courtroom when jurors were introduced to a huge cache of weapons parts, night-vision equipment an other gear that prosecutors say totaled more than $100,000 was seized from his Fountain home in 2013. Defense attorney Matt James argued that the government couldn't prove any of the gear was stolen. The trial focused on Army record-keeping and proof that the items were purloined.
