As Portland gears up for Saturday’s demonstrations by far-right protest groups, Vancouver too can expect to see impacts from the scheduled protest. Patriot Prayer, led by Vancouver’s Joey Gibson, will descend on Portland this weekend in the latest of a series of demonstrations. But before traveling across the Columbia River, protesters are expected to gather at the Grand Central Retail Center at 2500 Columbia House Blvd., just east of downtown.

New building for Pacific Northwest National Lab campus
RICHLAND — The federal government’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory will build a new $90 million energy sciences research building on its Richland campus. BURIEN — A woman was found dead and a second was injured as fire burned an apartment building in Burien. UCF has added a veteran coach to its football staff, hiring former Appalachian State coach Shawn Clark as its new offensive line coach. ESPN’s Pete Thamel first reported the move, which the Orlando Sentinel confirmed. A child and an adult were hospitalized after a dog attack in Deerfield Beach Friday evening. A little before 6:30 p.m., Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of an animal bite near the 400 block of Southwest 13th Place, the Sheriff’s Office said in an email. A child and an adult were taken to local hospitals with injuries from dog bites.
