The third-seeded Valley High School boys’ basketball team took care of business Monday in Augusta, defeating No. 6 Vinalhaven School by a 58-43 score in the Class D South quarterfinal. Valley’s Keegan Farnham scored 12 first-half points as the Cavaliers built up a 30-15 halftime lead, the Kennebec Journal reported. The Vikings came out strong in the second half and closed the gap to eight points, 40-32, heading into the fourth quarter, according to the Kennebec Journal’s Travis Lazarczyk.
