SALT LAKE CITY -- Wildlife officials are investigating after a doe and fawn were shot dead and left to rot near the Utah-Idaho border.Authorities from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources say the shooting happened late last month at the West Thompson Walk-in Access property, north of Clarkston.Division Conservation Officer Chris Schulze called it "callous" for the shooter to kill the two animals for thrill and leave them to waste.Schulze tells The Salt Lake Tribune the shooter could face felony charges for wanton destruction of wildlife.read more
