Using A Proxy, Obama Has Just Demanded Biden’s Ouster

On Monday night, after the triumphant entrance of former president and GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, Teamsters Union general president Sean O’Brien addressed the Republican National Convention. “I refuse to keep doing the same things my predecessors did,” O’Brien said. “Today, the Teamsters are here to say: ‘We are not beholden to anyone or any party.’” As president of the 1.3 million member union, O’Brien has proved to be willing to work with Republicans even as the rest of the labor movement has rallied around Democrats.

On July 12th, President Joe Biden filmed what may be his most candid conversation on his support for Israel since the October 7th attack by Hamas and the following 10-month military campaign by the United States ally that has killed over 38,000 Palestinians.  In a taped interview with Complex Networks’ Speedy Morman, Biden began by saying much of what one would expect in response to questions about the war.

A jury found New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez guilty on all counts on Tuesday afternoon, marking the end of the powerful lawmaker’s two-month corruption trial. Federal prosecutors had accused Menendez of accepting bribes in exchange for using his clout as the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to benefit Qatar, Egypt, and several personal associates.
