From Friday, Nov. 22 to Monday, Dec. 2, TSA in a news release said it expects to screen more than 844,033 passengers through DIA checkpoints, a 7.5% increase from 2023. The website will allow players in Colorado to instantly buy tickets for nationwide games such as Mega Millions and Powerball, as well as Colorado lottery games. The platform purchases tickets on behalf of its customers from an official state lottery retailer, displaying a scan of their ticket and transferring winnings under $600 in real-time to their account.

The Colorado Economic Development Commission played defense on Thursday, approving tax incentives to keep some local companies in place. But it went on offense as well, trying to lure the U. S. arm of a New Zealand-based sports governing authority to Colorado Springs. Project Kiwi, the codename given to an unnamed New Zealand nonprofit, oversees a major Olympic sport in the U.

Denver is saying goodbye to the Five Points Jazz Festival, with a plan to replace the 20-year-old event with a year-round grant program meant to uplift the local jazz scene. Denver Arts & Venues, a city and county agency, made the announcement Thursday about the creation of the Five Points Jazz Activation Fund — and the simultaneous demise of the free one-day event in the Five Points neighborhood. The first Five Points Jazz Festival took place  more than two decades ago in an area historically known as the Harlem of the West.
