PORTLAND — Urban Airship, a Portland marketing technology company that enables push notifications on smartphones, said Wednesday it has acquired its biggest competitor in Europe. The Oregon company said it paid cash and stock for Accengage, which provides push notifications and similar mobile marketing technology, but didn’t disclose a value for the transaction.

New building for Pacific Northwest National Lab campus

A contract to design and construct the building has been awarded to a Houston-based team of Harvey Cleary Builders and Kirksey Architecture.
