TEMPE, Arizona — As UCF quarterback Dylan Rizk stepped out of the tunnel and into the blazing sun that enveloped the field at Mountain America Stadium, the moment fulfilled a boyhood dream. Like many kids who grew up playing football, Rizk dreamed of one day leading a team into a hostile road environment like the one he and the Knights would face against Arizona State on Saturday night. “I’ve been dreaming about it since I was a little kid,” Rizk said, “playing in a stadium and everybody is booing you.” Rizk got plenty of boos, particularly after a red-hot start that saw the redshirt freshman complete his first eight passes and 12 of his first 14 throws.
