Two Cops Hurt In Danbury Deck Collapse

DANBURY — Two Danbury police officers were injured when a deck collapsed Saturday on Cross Street. The two officers were called to a house to check on a suspicious activity about 1 p.m., police said. As they stepped on a second-floor deck, the deck separated from the house and both officers and deck fell to the ground, according to the report. The officers were taken to Danbury Hospital and released the same day. One of them was treated for minor injuries and the other sustained shoulder and neck injuries, police said.
