Twitch today released the full version of its desktop app, taking it out of the public beta it’s been in since March. A retooled version of the Curse app, it has several features the in-browser version of the site doesn’t support. For starters, it has video calling and game mod support.

There is no Twitch desktop app. There is no Twitch desktop app these days. Not that it was needed to enable streaming. You can stream through OBS. Twitch got rid of their desktop app in 2022. You don't need an app. OBS is what most people use to stream to twitch. Many tutorials in the wiki and on YouTube.
