Opponents of Republicans' efforts at health care reform aren't declaring victory quite yet. Protesters at Republican Senator Cory Gardner's downtown Colorado Springs office on Tuesday said they remain unconvinced that efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act have ended, despite talks in the Senate having collapsed. Many pointed to the House's health care plan, which appeared all but dead for months before its surprise passage in May. "We're winning a battle, but this is a battle of a larger war," said Mary Rose Donahue, an ARC Pikes Peak Region public awareness fellow who pilloried proposed Medicaid cuts.
