The president discussed the ongoing dispute between Qatar and its neighbors with Egypt's president on Wednesday, the White House said, again calling on the involved nations to resolve their conflict. In a readout of an Air Force One call between President Donald Trump and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the White House said Trump "called on all parties to negotiate constructively to resolve the dispute." The president also reaffirmed his stance that all countries must follow through on their commitments at the Riyadh Summit to "stop terrorist financing and discredit extremist ideology." At its core, the diplomatic dispute between Qatar and its four neighboring countries Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and United Arab Emirates centers around Qatar's alleged funding for terrorist groups, which it denies.
