Trump Seeks Tariffs On An Additional $100 Billion Of Chinese Goods In Escalation Of Trade Confrontation

President Trump said he was acting in response to China’s announcement of plans to introduce import taxes on $50 billion worth of U.S. goods. China responded by saying it would observe what the United States does next, and “follow suit and fight at any cost” if America disregards the opposition of the international community.
