$26 million from grassroots donations, half of which were from first-time donors. Looks like the base isn't too concerned with all of that beltway pearl clutching demanding Joe Biden step down following the debate.
Here's more on that from The Hill:
President Biden’s campaign has raked in more than $33 million since his debate with former President Trump last week despite some backlash about his performance.
In an email on Sunday, a Biden campaign official said they had raised more than $33 million since Thursday’s debate, including $26 million from grassroots donations.
The freakout of the media pundit industrial complex continues over the Biden-Trump debate. As the media continue to call for Biden to bow out of the race, the Republicans must be delighted. Once again, the spineless media "strategists" are falling into the trap that Trump and the GOP set for them.
Media pundits, y'all need to grow a spine and get to work instead of crying in your cocktail because Biden messed up a debate.
In the words of Patsy Cline, "People in hell want ice water, but that don't mean they'll get it." Biden is old and might not be your ideal candidate, but don't let good be the enemy of perfect.
On his way to prison, Steve Bannon was joined by Marjorie Taylor Green because of course he was.
As they gave a quick presser, the two MAGAts were shouted down by onlookers happy to see him go to jail.
Bannon tried to make himself look like a political prisoner, a victim over his political beliefs, but the fact is, he was involved in some fashion orchestrating the attack on the US Capitol and refused to answer questions under subpoena.
Fox News host Janine Pirro said what most of the country was thinking after the Supreme Court handed down its presidential immunity ruling.
Box-O-Wine Pirro said the important part out loud as it pertains to Trump's upcoming criminal trials.
JEANNE PIRRO: You know, first of all, Dana, what is so important about this is there is nothing about immunity in the Constitution or in federal statutes.
So we've had to rely for a couple of centuries on how the courts interpret this.
The Supreme Court FINALLY released their opinion on whether Donald Trump has "Presidential Immunity".
Their opinion: Donald Trump is immune from criminal charges for official actions but NOT unofficial acts. Opinion was 6-3. NOT full immunity.
Read the ruling here.
Background on this case: Donald Trump went all the way to the Supreme Court to try to argue that he is immune from federal prosecution by Special Counsel Jack Smith because everything he did was an "official act."
This would directly impact the federal election subversion case in DC where Trump is facing four felony counts, including conspiracy to defraud the United States and conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, over his efforts to hold onto power after his 2020 election loss.
The trial was supposed to begin on March 4th, was indefinitely delayed until the Supreme Court issued a final ruling on immunity.
North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum told Meet the Press host Kristen Welker that the lies Trump tells are no big thing because he's told them all before.
Welker quizzed Burgum on Trump's propensity for lying, when Burgum himself claims he never lied in politics.
WELKER: By one count, Donald Trump made more than 30 false claims during that debate.
